Chevening Scholarships is a fully-funded scholarships that allows one the opportunity to undertake any master’s course at any UK university for a year.

There is no ‘typical’ Chevening Scholar but they are looking for people who have the passion, ideas, and influence to provide the solutions and leadership needed to create a better future.

This Scholarship is funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and partner organisations and because these scholarships are fully-funded (flights, accommodation, and course fees are all included), you are free to focus on achieving your professional goals and maximising the experience of a lifetime.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for a Chevening Scholarship you must:

•  Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.

• Commit to returning to your home country for at least two years after your scholarship ends.

• Hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies you for a UK master’s programme. 

• Have at least two years (equivalent to 2,800 hours) of work experience.

• Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and you must have received an unconditional offer from at least one of these course choices by the references and education documents deadline listed on the application timeline

APPLICATION PROCESS

  • To apply for this scholarship you must do so via the online application system. This can be gotten through the application system during the application window by following the ‘apply today’ link on the apply page of your home country or territory.
  • Applications for 2025-26 Chevening Scholarships are open and close on 5 November 2024 at 12.00 (GMT).
  • Successful applicants will be announced in June 2025. If you are among them, you will begin your UK studies in September/October 2025.
